New plum tree

We discovered plums on what Grethe thought was the Jasmin tree. The Jasmin tree has had very little flowers the last years and some strange flowers.

The plum tree told us it definitely is not a Jasmin tree. It is very proud of itself. It has seeded from the stone from the old plum tree, has mutated and has plums that we will enjoy eating.

Conversation with the Goat weed - August 2025

The plan for det garden was that you should not be there this year (2025). How do you feel about that and how are you doing this year?

We are thrilled to be here! Although we know that we are not wanted, because we are defined as weed. But we are not just weed. Our task as a plant is to cover barren soil, because soil with no cover is not healthy for the species that live in that soil. So, our growth is designed to quickly cover these areas. But we do not just cover the soil, we put back nutrients and restore the chemical balance and diversity in the soil. So, when other kind of plants starts to grow there, eventually we will not dominate the ground. Because of your lawns and carefully manicured surroundings, you do not experience that we leave the garden.

Where you are in the garden, there are several trees and bushes. Does your presence around them hamper their growth?

No, only the low bushes. We bring in needed nutrition to them instead of taking nutrition they need.

What do we need to do for you to go? We want to grow where you are now, but you swallowed the potatoes, and your roots grew into the potatoes.

The garden is not yet in balance. So, you must remove us. The best way to keep us out of your garden is to plant crop that grow above the round and cover the area. We know you have tried to grow pumpkins and zucchini and that the brown land slugs ate them. Try peas or flowers like Nasturtium, they would like to grow together in the same area. Choose tall types of peas and this will cover the ground, restore balance to the soil, give you soe food and keep us out. This is our best advice. And until you try this, we will grow and enjoy ourselves. Your garden is a bliss to live in, and the energy there also helps our specie that grows other places.

Your name In Norwegian is gossip/talkative cabbage. Do you talk a lot?

Of course we do. We talk with each other and with all the other plants and animals in the garden. Not because we gossip or talk a lot, but because we are intelligent persons and beings who interact with everything around us. We want to wish your readers the best if the decide to garden spiritually. They will achieve a better life experience by communicating with nature.
